Christy Knowings, an actress known for her role on the Nickelodeon sketch comedy series "All That," has died at the age of 46. Knowings passed away Tuesday evening in a Los Angeles-based hospital.

According to reports, Knowings had been placed on life support the previous Friday following an asthma attack that resulted in brain damage. Her family subsequently made the decision to remove her from life support.

Knowings was a cast member on "All That" for three seasons, from 1997 to 2000. During her time on the show, she portrayed various characters, including Penny Lane and Jessica in the recurring sketch "Whateverrr!!!" alongside Amanda Bynes. Knowings also made appearances in three episodes of "Sesame Street" with her twin brother, Chris Knowings.

Her representative described her as a "multi-talented lady" who was "always creating. Always professional and dedicated to her work." In a 2019 interview, Knowings recalled her time on "All That," particularly her character Gloria Bankhead, an over-the-top Martha Stewart-esque personality. She described the role as her favorite, noting the positive reception from cast and crew.

Knowings' death occurs approximately seven months after the passing of another "All That" co-star, Kianna Underwood, who died in January at age 33. Underwood was the victim of a hit-and-run collision in Brooklyn.

"All That," which aired from 1994 to 2005, launched the careers of several notable performers, including Kenan Thompson and Amanda Bynes. Underwood appeared in seven episodes of the show between 2004 and 2005. She also had a role in the film "The 24 Hour Woman" and voiced a character in "Santa Baby!" and toured with the musical "Hairspray."
