Actress Christina Ricci has publicly criticized "The Tonight Show" host Jimmy Fallon for featuring mixed martial artist Conor McGregor on his program following a recent civil sexual assault trial.

Ricci, 46, reposted a message from the account @mushroom.marauder on June 24, which strongly condemned Fallon's June 16 interview with McGregor, 37. The message highlighted allegations from a 2024 lawsuit filed by stylist Nikita Hand, who accused McGregor of sexual assault.

The original post detailed graphic allegations from the trial, stating McGregor "raped a woman so brutally that the EMT who saw her commented on the severity of her bruising." It further alleged, "She also had to have the tampon she was using when he raped her surgically removed, as it had been shoved so far inside her."

The repost concluded with a direct rebuke to Fallon: "Why the ABSOLUTE F*** is this piece of human garbage being given a platform on Jimmy Fallon's show? Shame on you, Jimmy."

In July 2025, a Dublin court awarded Hand approximately $285,000 plus $1.5 million in court costs after ruling that McGregor had "brutally raped and battered" her in December 2018. McGregor's appeal in the civil case was dismissed in its entirety. Hand had filed the lawsuit after Dublin prosecutors declined to press charges due to insufficient evidence. McGregor has consistently denied the allegations, asserting the encounters were consensual.

Ricci is among several individuals who have voiced criticism of Fallon's decision to host McGregor. Comments on a June 18 post featuring Fallon and Paul McCartney, the first post after McGregor's appearance, also reflected this sentiment.

A number of sharp comments from users appeared on a June 18 post, the first from the account since McGregor appeared on the NBC late night program

Users questioned Fallon's choice, with one asking, "Don't want to post McGregor @jimmyfallon? Why not?" Another commenter stated, "We thought you were one of the good ones." Some commenters referenced details from the trial, such as the alleged need for surgical removal of a tampon and reports of bruising on Hand's wrists from being held down. One user identified as an "Irish woman" expressed disappointment with Fallon's decision and solidarity with Nikita Hand.
