Christina Haack and Ant Anstead have publicly demonstrated a truce in their multi-year feud, sharing affectionate tributes for their son Hudson on his seventh birthday. The former couple, married from 2018 to 2021, both posted on Instagram celebrating their child.
Haack, 43, shared a series of photos of Hudson, writing, "Happy 7️⃣ Birthday Hudson!! My sweet boy I adore you and your kind soul!! Smart, adventurous, helpful, silly and a full on Virgo when it comes to organization. I am so lucky to be your mama!! We love you." Ant Anstead, 47, commented on his ex-wife's post, "We are doing a good job! X," indicating a positive shift in their co-parenting relationship.
Anstead also posted his own tribute, featuring a video montage of Hudson from infancy to the present, including his current partner, Renee Zellweger. "Hudzo you were born with a light! An unmistakably GLOW around you! You shine with a beautiful blend of fun, cheekiness, love and so much kindness!" Anstead captioned the video. "You are an utterly brilliant boy and it is a privilege to watch you grow and thrive. I love being your father! Happy 7th birthday Hudzo. Keep on GLOWING! X."
Heather El Moussa, who is married to Haack's other ex-husband Tarek El Moussa, also sent birthday wishes to Hudson, commenting, "Happy birthday sweet Hudson… We love you."
Anstead's relationship with Zellweger, which began after they met on the show Celebrity IOU: Joyride, has been generally private. However, Anstead has spoken positively about her, calling her "the best human I've ever met" and "absolutely brilliant" and a "genius" in a rare interview. He also noted that he sometimes forgets she is famous due to her down-to-earth nature.
Zellweger, in a 2025 joint interview with Hugh Grant for British Vogue, shared that she lives in Southern California to be near Anstead and his son.
Anstead is also father to two older children, Amelie, 21, and Archie, 18, from a previous marriage to Louise Storey.
The divorce between Anstead and Haack was finalized in June 2021. Their co-parenting relationship was contentious, marked by a custody battle in which Anstead filed for full custody of Hudson in April 2022, accusing Haack of limited involvement and jeopardizing their son's safety and well-being. Haack's legal team denied these allegations at the time.
The custody dispute was settled in December 2022, with both parents agreeing to continue joint legal and physical custody of Hudson. Anstead has since publicly acknowledged that the prolonged legal battle was "shameful" and expressed the importance of their current co-parenting relationship.
