Christie Brinkley Celebrates Handprint Ceremony at MIPCOM in Cannes

Christie Brinkley, 72, was honored with an official handprint ceremony at MIPCOM in Cannes, adding her mark to the Chemin des Étoiles, a landmark akin to the Hollywood Walk of Fame. The model showcased her signature style in a plunging sequin gown paired with a cropped leather jacket for the occasion held at the Palais des Festivals et des Congrès.

Brinkley, known for her ageless appearance, sported her trademark blonde locks in bouncy curls and displayed a smooth complexion. She also engaged playfully on the red carpet, striking poses and placing her handprints into a plaster cast.

The event followed the launch of MIPCOM, the International Market of Communications Programmes, where Brinkley had previously appeared in a striking red dress. Earlier in the year, she returned to the runway for Dennis Basso's Spring 2027 ready-to-wear show during New York Fashion Week, marking her first runway appearance in seven years.

In her personal reflections, Brinkley shared in an August interview that gardening is her primary form of exercise, citing the physical demands of moving compost bags in her hilly garden. Her diet, she noted, consists of what she grows.

Speaking about aging in a June interview with Social Life Magazine, Brinkley expressed a sense of freedom that comes with age. "You do what you wanna do when you wanna do it," she stated, adding that she no longer feels the need to conform to others' opinions on her style. "You know what you like. You know what you don't like. And you don't feel like you have to put up with the stuff that you don't like anymore."

While Brinkley has acknowledged using Botox in her forehead twice and undergoing laser treatments, she reportedly opts for injectable fillers only once a year for her marionette lines. She expressed a desire to embrace wrinkles, stating, "I want to accept certain wrinkles. That's the way I'm approaching aging... I want a little life to show on my face, you know?" She recalled an experience where Botox made her eyebrow droop, leading her to prefer a more natural approach. "I'm kind of more comfortable just letting it be," she concluded.
