Christian Watson Recounts Hospital Visit During Packers' Victory

Green Bay Packers wide receiver Christian Watson described the frightening moments that led to his hospitalization during the team's 27-19 victory over the Carolina Panthers on Thursday. Watson exited the game in the second quarter after a collision with two defenders while making a long reception.

He initially walked off the field under his own power but was later seen being loaded into an ambulance. Watson revealed that the decision to transport him to the hospital was prompted by him "spitting a little blood," which raised concerns about potential internal bleeding. "I was just praying that there was it was good enough to where I could come back out here, and obviously, thankfully it was," Watson stated after the game.

Doctors at a nearby hospital conducted precautionary tests, and Watson received clearance to return to the stadium approximately one hour later. During his absence, he kept up with the game's progress by watching the play-by-play on a doctor's phone. "I saw [Matthew Golden's] touchdown. I was hyped. I saw Josh's (Jacobs) touchdown. I was like, all right, we're doing something," he recalled.

Following his return to the stadium, Watson made a remarkable reappearance on the field. He was seen exiting the same ambulance, spending a brief period in the locker room, and then rejoining his teammates. The crowd reacted enthusiastically to his return.

Shortly after re-entering the game, Watson was targeted by quarterback Jordan Love. The incident occurred when Watson was landed on by two Carolina Panthers defenders.
