Katie Salmon, who gained initial fame on the reality television show Love Island and later on OnlyFans, has built a new public persona as a Christian influencer and founder of the women's sanctuary House of Faith. However, details of a past violent incident have surfaced, which were not fully disclosed in her public accounts of transformation.
Salmon, who now promotes a message of faith, purpose, and recovery to her followers, was found guilty of assault in July 2025. The conviction stemmed from an attack on a woman named Jyssica Memory in Northampton in 2023, following Salmon's discovery that her partner was having an affair with Memory. During a three-day trial, the court heard that Salmon planned the assault with her partner. She ambushed Memory as she was preparing to leave for the airport with him. The attack involved repeated punches and kicks, with Salmon using a stiletto heel and a hairdryer as weapons. Video footage shown to the jury depicted a scene where Memory's hair was pulled out, and her belongings were scattered.
Following her conviction for actual bodily harm, Salmon received a suspended prison sentence and was ordered to complete community service. She publicly acknowledged the guilty verdict, stating it was part of "God's plan" and that she had to accept the consequences of her actions. Salmon also noted that new legislation, enacted just days before her sentencing, helped her avoid immediate jail time, as it recommended that certain first-time offenders, particularly single mothers, should not ordinarily receive custodial sentences. She described the community service as "humiliating."
Recently, Salmon discussed the incident on the Christian podcast The Way UK, referring to it as "basically a fight" and mentioning facing "up to four years in jail." She stated she was left with 15 stitches and the other person sustained a black eye. However, this account did not include details about the planning of the assault or the use of a stiletto as a weapon.
House of Faith, launched by Salmon in January of the current year, is described as a sanctuary for women aged 16 and over, offering faith-based events, mentorship, and workshops aimed at mental, physical, and spiritual growth. While Salmon's social media and promotional materials for House of Faith highlight themes of worship, friendship, and healing, they do not mention her criminal conviction. Salmon's representatives stated that she "gave her life to Christ three years after the attack" and has "completely changed her life." They added that she is involved with a Christian charity that helps women in distress and does not profit from it, with all proceeds going towards supporting women who have suffered traumatic experiences.
Salmon, who was raised in a non-religious household and initially aspired to be a glamour model, made her television debut on Love Island in 2016. After her reality TV appearances and time on OnlyFans, she found faith following the birth of her daughter in March 2022. She frequently shares posts on Instagram, where she has 241,000 followers, speaking about her transformation and being "rescued, restored and redeemed by Jesus." She often speaks about overcoming depression, alcoholism, and toxic relationships through her faith. Salmon maintains that her past experiences, including her conviction, "demonstrate God's ability to transform a life."
