Chris Watts' Prison Relationship Ends Amid Family Pressure and Past Confessions
The convicted murderer's relationship with Lizzie Henderson, who had adopted his surname, has reportedly ended after reportedly being pressured by his family.
Chris Watts, the Colorado man convicted of murdering his pregnant wife Shanann and their two young daughters, Bella and Celeste, has reportedly ended his prison relationship with Lizzie Henderson. Henderson, who had taken the name Lizzie Watts, had reportedly been in a romantic relationship with Watts, a development previously revealed by the Daily Mail.
Sources indicate that the relationship ended due to pressure from Watts' family. Henderson had relocated from Ohio to Wisconsin to be closer to the correctional facility where Watts is incarcerated. It is unclear what has become of a ring Henderson was wearing when she was reportedly tracked down last month.
Watts confessed to murdering his family in 2018. At the time, he told police that he killed his wife and daughters so he could start a new life with his mistress, Nichol Kessinger. He smothered his daughters, Bella, four, and Celeste, three, before disposing of their bodies in oil tanks. He then murdered his wife, Shanann, and subsequently pretended to be a concerned husband to police and local media.
Since his conviction in late 2018, Watts has reportedly had a string of admirers and pen-pal girlfriends. Henderson was reportedly one such admirer who adopted his surname. She could not be reached for comment regarding the breakup.
