The series, which premiered in July 2022, centers on a battle-hardened SEAL seeking revenge. Season one was described as a psychological revenge thriller, while season two is expected to expand into a globe-trotting espionage thriller. Reece's journey will take him across various international locations, including the Indian Ocean, Africa, the Middle East, and Europe.
Returning cast members include Tom Hopper as Raife Hastings, Constance Wu as Katie Buranek, Dar Salim as Mohammed Farooq, and Luke Hemsworth as Jules Landry. New additions to the cast for season two include Gabriel Luna as Freddy Strain, Costa Ronin, Olga Kurylenko, Yul Vazquez, Arnold Vosloo, and Shiraz Tzarfati. The plot will involve Reece uncovering a conspiracy with ties to Moscow, Langley, and his own family history.
Chris Pratt reprises his role as James Reece. The series is based on Jack Carr's popular book series.

Jack Carr also commented on a recent Gallup poll indicating a decline in American pride, emphasizing the significance of the nation's history and sacrifices. He highlighted the upcoming 250th anniversary of the United States as an opportunity to foster national pride. Carr has a new Fox Nation special, "Jack Carr Investigates Carlos the Jackal," which explores lessons from past acts of terrorism.
