Chris Hansen Critical of Film Portraying Him

Chris Hansen, the former host of the television series "To Catch a Predator," has shared his initial reactions to "Primetime," a new film that depicts his work. Robert Pattinson stars as Hansen in the movie, which explores the making of the controversial documentary series that aimed to expose individuals seeking to exploit children.

Hansen stated that he was unable to view the film in advance due to a non-disclosure agreement and saw it only after its national release. Following a screening, he described the movie as "so bizarre and so in and out of reality." He added, "It’s hard for me to — you know, obviously I’m not objective because the character is me, but it was so detached from reality or anything I’ve ever experienced, then or now, doing the investigations. I just think it’s — I’m not sure what the point of it was."

Hansen indicated that a more comprehensive review would be published on his YouTube channel. Pattinson, meanwhile, expressed hope that Hansen would find the film complimentary.

The film "Primetime" is directed by Lance Oppenheim and features Robert Pattinson, Merritt Wever, Skyler Gisondo, Matthew Maher, and Bokeem Woodbine. It was inspired by true events and was released on September 25.
