Golfer Chris Gotterup is set to make his first career appearance for the United States in the Presidents Cup at the end of September, celebrating his selection with a video montage. U.S. captain Brandt Snedeker announced Gotterup as one of his six captain's picks for the 16th edition of the event, which will be held at Medinah Country Club near Chicago.

Gotterup, 27, secured three victories on the PGA Tour in the 2026 season, a feat matched by only three other players on the tour that year. He also achieved two additional Top 5 finishes. His performance placed him seventh in the Team USA standings, with the top six players earning automatic berths.

The video celebrating Gotterup's selection features a mix of American symbols and dynamic sports action, including fighter jets, Ja Morant's dunks, and golf shots.

Gotterup is one of three players making their Presidents Cup debut for Team USA, alongside Jacob Bridgeman and Jackson Koivun, who were also selected by Snedeker. The International team, captained by Geoff Ogilvy, also has three debutants: Ryo Hisatsune of Japan, Nick Taylor of Canada, and Nico Echavarria of Colombia.

The full U.S. Presidents Cup team includes Scottie Scheffler, Cameron Young, Wyndham Clark, Russell Henley, Sam Burns, Collin Morikawa, Chris Gotterup, Xander Schauffele, Justin Thomas, Patrick Cantlay, Jacob Bridgeman, and Jackson Koivun. The International team consists of Si Woo Kim, Hideki Matsuyama, Ryan Fox, Tom Kim, Adam Scott, Min Woo Lee, Corey Conners, Christiaan Bezuidenhout, Nico Echavarria, Sungjae Im, Nick Taylor, and Ryo Hisatsune.
