Chris Brown's Ex Claims Singer Threatened New Partners, Seeks $45K Monthly Child Support
Diamond Brown alleges singer engaged in harassing behavior and seeks significant increase in child support payments for their daughter.
Chris Brown's ex-girlfriend Diamond Brown has accused the singer of making threats against her current and past boyfriends, and is seeking a substantial increase in child support payments, according to court filings.
Diamond Brown, 28, stated in a filing reviewed by The Daily Mail that she and the singer separated over two years ago, but Chris Brown has allegedly become increasingly angry whenever she has dated other men. She claims he has made death threats against her most recent boyfriend and continued threats against his twin brother, with third parties also reportedly involved in making threats.
According to the filing, Brown's alleged harassment contributed to the breakdown of two relationships Diamond has had since their breakup. "I should not be left to be scared to move on with my life because of Chris’s anger and resentment," Diamond stated in the legal document.
Diamond also alleges that Brown has engaged in behavior that is "harassing, disturbing my peace and feels extremely frightening." She claims he has verbally lashed out at her in front of their four-year-old daughter, Lovely, and at a birthday party. Her legal team has reportedly attempted to address this behavior, with Diamond stating she has hoped Brown would cease this "scary behavior" to avoid filing for a domestic violence restraining order.
Chris Brown's legal representatives have denied the allegations. In an email included in the filing, his attorney stated, "Chris denies this and in fact I continue to see your client posting things that are inappropriate. Please send me specifics to address so I can understand and assist if this is really happening."
In her October 1 filing, Diamond Brown stated that Chris Brown has not requested to see their daughter Lovely in the past six to seven months. She reported her own monthly income as approximately $1,500, while asserting that Brown has not provided financial documentation despite discovery requests.
Diamond is requesting $45,595 in monthly child support. This request includes approximately $23,000 for rent and related bills, and around $20,000 for medical, educational, and other living expenses. She noted that Brown has been providing approximately $7,000 monthly, which he has unilaterally reduced, and which she claims does not cover the child's basic needs, leaving her in debt.
Diamond has estimated a monthly rent of approximately $15,000 for a home that would better align with Brown's financial status for herself and their child.
