Chloe Madeley Warns Parents After Firework Incident Injures Daughter
Personal trainer Chloe Madeley is cautioning parents about the safety of child-friendly fireworks after a 'rogue' item exploded in her daughter Bodhi's face.
Chloe Madeley has revealed that a firework 'exploded' in her daughter's face, sending sawdust into her eyes and causing a panic-filled incident.
The personal trainer, 39, assured fans that her four-year-old daughter, Bodhi, whom she shares with ex-husband James Haskell, is unharmed after her eyes were rinsed out. However, Madeley issued a warning to other parents regarding the use of so-called child-friendly products.
Madeley explained on social media that she had purchased indoor fireworks, including bang snaps and crackers, for Bodhi and her niece and nephew. When Bodhi attempted to open a snap box, a 'rogue' firework immediately exploded, engulfing her hands and face in sawdust.
"She's fine. We managed to wash all the sawdust out over the course of 10-20 minutes," Madeley stated. "Not sharing this to do anything other than remind parents even something as innocent as child-friendly bang snaps (which I played with as a kid, as has she multiple times) can go awry."
Madeley emphasized the need for extra caution, noting that while Bodhi was unharmed, the intense panic was "NOT worth it." She took responsibility for the incident, admitting she did not realize what Bodhi was opening until the explosion occurred.
In related news, Madeley recently shared a montage of her time in France with Bodhi and Haskell, describing it as a successful trip.
This comes after Haskell reflected on his relationship regrets following his 2023 split from Madeley. The former rugby player acknowledged that his demanding career and frequent trips, including 12 to Ibiza in the year after Bodhi was born, added pressure to their relationship. He stated that while he has made mistakes, he is now content with his work-life balance and ensures he makes time for their daughter and others.
Madeley and Haskell married in 2018, welcomed their daughter in 2022, and separated in 2023. They have since developed an amicable co-parenting relationship and friendship.
