Chloe Madeley has shared images from a family holiday in Nice, France, with her ex-husband James Haskell and their four-year-old daughter, Bodhi. Madeley, 39, who separated from Haskell in 2023 after five years of marriage, posted pictures to Instagram from the trip, noting she is "happier than I've been for years."
The former couple, who announced their separation in 2023, had previously stated their commitment to co-parenting their daughter, a pledge they appear to have maintained during the getaway.
Images shared by Madeley included herself with Bodhi, as well as Haskell with their daughter. In one photograph, Haskell is seen carrying Bodhi on his shoulders. The fitness influencer captioned one of her posts with a quote about happiness and life going well, attributed to F. Scott Fitzgerald.
The holiday follows recent comments made by Haskell, 41, regarding regrets about his marriage to Madeley. Appearing on the Nolans Uncensored podcast, Haskell reflected on their five-year marriage, admitting that excessive travel for work, including 12 trips to Ibiza in one year shortly after Bodhi's birth, placed strain on their relationship.
"Should I have done all them? No. Should I have been around more?" Haskell asked himself during the podcast, acknowledging that he was a workaholic whose schedule, involving extensive periods away for his rugby career and later DJing, made consistent presence difficult.
Since retiring from his 17-year rugby career in 2019, Haskell has established himself as a DJ. He stated that he now prioritizes making time for his daughter and others, expressing contentment with his current work-life balance.
Madeley and Haskell tied the knot in 2018 and welcomed Bodhi in 2022. Madeley has spoken about the challenges of their separation, noting that it took time to reach their current amicable co-parenting relationship. She previously told the No Parental Guidance podcast that one reason for leaving the marriage was to prevent their daughter from witnessing arguments.
"We've managed to come out the other side, very surprisingly to me more than anyone, having formed a completely new bond and new relationship and a new friendship," Madeley said of their post-separation dynamic.
