Chloe Madeley is reportedly "happier than she has been in years" as she vacationed in Nice, France, with her ex-husband James Haskell and their daughter, Bodhi. Madeley, 39, and Haskell, 41, who separated in 2023 after five years of marriage, shared images from their trip to Instagram, demonstrating their commitment to co-parenting.
Images posted by Madeley included herself with their four-year-old daughter and also Haskell with Bodhi. The fitness influencer captioned one post with a quote from F. Scott Fitzgerald about life going well during a "strange, precious and all too transitory moment." The accompanying photos showed Madeley in a bikini while holding Bodhi, and Haskell carrying their daughter on his shoulders during a walk.
The family getaway comes after Haskell spoke about his regrets concerning their marriage on the Nolans Uncensored podcast. He admitted that his demanding rugby career, which involved extensive travel and limited time at home, along with 12 trips to Ibiza in the year after Bodhi was born, placed significant pressure on their relationship. Haskell, who retired from rugby in 2019 and has since worked as a DJ, acknowledged that he should have been more present for his family.
"We can all look back on past relationships and go 'maybe I shouldn't have done that' or 'we should have noticed that and talked about it'," Haskell said, reflecting on his past actions. He stated that he now prioritizes making time for their daughter and others in his life, expressing contentment with his current work-life balance.
Madeley and Haskell married in 2018 and welcomed Bodhi in 2022. Following their separation in 2023, they have maintained an amicable co-parenting relationship, a state Madeley noted took time and effort to achieve after a difficult breakup. She previously described their separation as "the worst breakup imaginable" but expressed surprise at their ability to build a new friendship and bond. Madeley also cited her desire for their daughter not to witness their arguments as a reason for leaving the marriage.
