Children of Stars Gather for New Magazine Launch

Apple Martin, daughter of Gwyneth Paltrow and Chris Martin, was among a group of celebrity offspring who gathered in New York City on Monday for the launch of WYouth magazine. The new publication, from the creators of W magazine, aims to connect with a younger audience. Martin was joined by Nico Parker, daughter of actress Thandiwe Newton and director Ol Parker, and Sam Nivola, son of actors Emily Mortimer and Alessandro Nivola.

Martin, who has been building a modeling career while studying at Vanderbilt University, wore a black bandeau top and a gold satin miniskirt to the event. Parker, who has appeared in "How To Train Your Dragon," "The Last of Us," and "Dumbo," was seen in a stylish black dress. Nivola has recently appeared in "The White Lotus" and "The Perfect Couple."

WYouth is helmed by Ava Nirui, former creative director of Heaven by Marc Jacobs, and W Editor in Chief Sara Moonves. Nirui stated that the idea for WYouth stemmed from conversations about the influential magazines of their teenage years, aiming to recapture that spirit for today's generation through pop culture, style, beauty, and fashion history from W Magazine's perspective.

Sofia Coppola and her daughter Cosima Croquet are contributing editors for the publication. Moonves expressed gratitude to Coppola for introducing her to Nirui, praising Nirui's understanding of culture and fashion and her ability to shape emerging trends for an audience seeking relevant content. Moonves added that collaborating with the team on an elevated style with a nostalgic touch for new W readers has been a dream.

Martin's foray into the fashion world began in 2023 with her debut at Chanel's haute couture show during Paris Fashion Week. She has faced accusations that nepotism has aided her career. Earlier this year, she completed her degree at Vanderbilt University, where she majored in Law, History, and Society.
