Chiefs Secure Undefeated Status with Dominant Victory Over Chargers

The Kansas City Chiefs extended their undefeated streak to 5-0 with a convincing 22-6 victory over the Los Angeles Chargers on Sunday. Running back Kenneth Walker was a key contributor, rushing for 128 yards and two touchdowns, while quarterback Patrick Mahomes added 272 passing yards.

The win keeps the Chiefs among the NFL's elite, joining the San Francisco 49ers and Minnesota Vikings as the league's only remaining unbeaten teams.

Despite the victory, the game was not without its challenges for Kansas City. The team faced offensive struggles at times and kicker Harrison Butker missed both a PAT and a field goal attempt. Wide receivers Rashee Rice and Tyquan Thornton were sidelined due to injuries.

For the Chargers, the loss marked another disappointing performance, leaving them winless at 0-6. Quarterback Justin Herbert completed 204 passing yards but threw an interception, contributing to the team's overall offensive struggles. The Chargers also dealt with numerous injuries, including key offensive linemen and wide receivers. Notably, wide receiver Ladd McConkey was ruled out with a concussion.

In the second quarter, Chiefs cornerback Chris Roland-Wallace was ejected for throwing a punch at Chargers right tackle Alex Harkey early in the fourth quarter. The Chargers also sustained further injury concerns with cornerback Deane Leonard leaving the game with a concussion.

The Chiefs will look to continue their winning ways when they visit Seattle next Sunday night. The Chargers will enter a much-needed bye week.
