Chiefs Cornerback Ejected After Punching Charger

Kansas City Chiefs cornerback Christian Roland-Wallace was ejected from Sunday's game against the Los Angeles Chargers after punching an opposing player. The incident occurred after a play where Chargers offensive tackle Alex Harkey allegedly pushed Roland-Wallace into a Chiefs teammate.

Following the push and other shoves from Chargers players, Roland-Wallace punched Harkey's helmet after the whistle had blown. Officials initially assessed Roland-Wallace a 15-yard penalty for unnecessary roughness, which offset a similar penalty on Harkey. However, NFL offices in New York intervened and disqualified Roland-Wallace from the remainder of the game.

Roland-Wallace, a third-year player from USC, recorded four tackles, including three solo efforts, before his ejection. He could face additional disciplinary action from the league, such as a fine or suspension.

The ejection did not significantly impact the game's outcome, as the Chargers' offense struggled throughout the second half. Los Angeles managed only three points after halftime and failed to score a touchdown, ultimately losing the game. Chargers quarterback Justin Herbert completed 22 of 37 passes for 204 yards and an interception.

With the win, the Chiefs improved to 5-0 on the season, remaining one of the league's undefeated teams. The Chargers fell to 0-6.
