Chet Hanks Confronts Eric André at ComplexCon, Reigniting Feud

Chet Hanks confronted comedian Eric André at ComplexCon over the weekend, escalating a dispute that began in 2023. Video obtained by TMZ shows Hanks, 36, approaching André, 43, from behind and tapping him on the shoulder.

Initially, André appeared receptive, offering a handshake and asking, "What's up?" However, Hanks did not reciprocate, instead speaking to the comedian while keeping his hand on André's shoulder. The situation quickly turned confrontational, with both men removing their glasses and shouting at each other. Security intervened and escorted André away.

Following the incident, Hanks detailed the encounter in an Instagram comment, referring to André as "@ericf–kingandre" and mocking his need for security. Hanks claimed André had "NO MEMORY WHATSOEVER of trashing me to the media after I outshined him on his show!!"

Hanks further alleged that André admitted his issue stemmed from Hanks' "mocking Caribbean culture" during a past Jamaican accent impression. "WHO KNEW that in addition to the brain rot and poop joke humor he is known for, Eric is also such a passionate cultural activist!!!" Hanks wrote.

The feud originated after André's 2023 appearance on "The Eric André Show," where Hanks was a guest. In a subsequent interview with Rolling Stone, André described Hanks as "emotionally disturbed," citing his behavior on set, including allegedly stealing and riding a motorcycle and nearly causing accidents involving crew members.

Hanks responded to André's comments on social media at the time, stating he aimed to match André's "weird outlandish troll" energy. He recalled the incident where he rode a dirt bike on set, mentioning the crew's concern for his safety.

After Hanks called André a "f–king weirdo" and a "p–s," André humorously addressed the feud on Instagram, denying Hanks' claims and jokingly challenging him to a DNA test to prove Tom Hanks is his father.
