The girlfriend of new Chelsea signing Pep Chavarria, an influencer known as Pawgli, has expressed significant emotional distress over the prospect of relocating to London.

Chavarria, who recently joined Chelsea for £18 million on a five-year contract, faces a personal challenge as Pawgli is torn between moving with him and maintaining her influencer career in Madrid. Pawgli, who has over 1.1 million followers on TikTok and creates fashion, beauty, and lifestyle content, described the potential move to London as "scary" and admitted to "panicking" in recent videos. She has been dating the 28-year-old footballer since November.

Pawgli stated that moving to London would mean compromising a significant portion of her career. "By moving to London, I'm kind of giving up on doing 100 per cent of my job," she said. "He has his job, I have mine; he earns his money, I earn mine. Nobody lives off anyone else; I don't live off my boyfriend." She explained that her opportunities, brands, and daily events are primarily based in Madrid, and she is reluctant to abandon her Spanish-speaking audience, despite acknowledging the necessity of learning English.

She emphasized her deep ties to Madrid, saying, "I have my life in Madrid; I have my job in Madrid, which luckily is going very, very well. I have projects, I have all the brands I work with there, I have daily events, I have my sister, my family, my friends. I have a life where I feel fortunate - it's a dream life for me and one that cost me a lot to build."

Despite being "ultra-mega happy" and proud of her partner's significant career move, Pawgli is struggling with the decision. She revealed that until recently, she was convinced she would not move with him, considering a long-distance relationship instead. "Something I would've never considered in my life, but if one thing was clear to me, it's that I will never in my life depend on anyone or live off anyone. I have my own income, and that's how it'll always be," she asserted.

Chavarria, a late bloomer who made his LaLiga debut at 24, spent the last four seasons with Rayo Vallecano before his transfer. He expressed his excitement about joining Chelsea, calling it a "dream" and a "big opportunity." He also thanked his family and coach Xabi Alonso for their support.

Pawgli, who is 27 and whose real name has not been revealed, did attend Chavarria's unveiling with the club. While she acknowledges the potential for new content opportunities in London, the emotional and professional upheaval remains a significant concern for her.
