Chelsea Freeman, wife of Dodgers star Freddie Freeman, has shared details of a recent health scare that led to an emergency hospital visit. She described experiencing sudden, sharp pain in her chest and back during the night, prompting her to call 911.

The incident was particularly frightening as her husband was away with the team on a road trip. "It was really scary, especially since Freddie was out of town on the road," she stated on Instagram.

Upon arrival at the hospital, medical professionals found that Chelsea's troponin levels were elevated, a marker often associated with heart issues. This led to a series of cardiac tests, including a heart CT scan, chest X-rays, and an echocardiogram.

A cardiologist evaluated her on Wednesday and suspects she may have had pericarditis or myocarditis, conditions involving inflammation of the heart. However, neither diagnosis has been confirmed. She is scheduled for another echocardiogram next week as her condition continues to be monitored.

Chelsea Freeman reported that she is "thankfully feeling much better" following the episode. She had previously disclosed the hospital visit with a photograph from a hospital bed, referring to it only as "a little health scare." At that time, she expressed gratitude to the emergency responders, medical staff, and family who provided care and advised her followers to seek medical attention when something feels wrong.

This health incident follows a previous serious medical ordeal for the Freeman family. Their son Maximus spent eight days in a pediatric intensive care unit in 2024 after developing Guillain-Barré syndrome. His recovery was later celebrated by the family as a "miracle."
