Chef Max Coen has unexpectedly departed Dorian, a popular Notting Hill restaurant known for its celebrity clientele, including Sir David and Lady Beckham. The departure has been met with silence from the restaurant's owner, Chris D'Sylva. Reports indicate that Coen feels aggrieved and is consulting lawyers over the circumstances of his exit, with one associate alleging a significant falling-out over Coen's stake in the business.

Dorian, which offers high-end dishes like caviar rosti and expensive wines, quickly gained recognition and attracted patrons such as pop star Rita Ora and former presenter Gary Lineker. The restaurant, despite its intimate 35-seat capacity, has been described as having a nightclub-like atmosphere with a drum-and-bass soundtrack.

In a farewell statement, Coen expressed sadness at leaving the team and the venue, stating that he had poured his heart and soul into Dorian and was leaving with fond memories. He cited the need for personal and professional growth as the reason for his departure, adding that he plans to travel extensively as he approaches his 30th birthday and upcoming marriage.
