Charlotte Dawson and her fiancé Matt Sarsfield were seen in a tense discussion shortly after the National Television Awards ceremony on Tuesday night. In footage captured in London's O2 Arena, Sarsfield was observed walking away from Dawson after a heated moment, with Dawson appearing frustrated as she followed him to get his attention.

This encounter followed a public display of unity earlier in the evening, when the couple posed for social media photos on the red carpet. Dawson, 33, wore a white corset gown, while Sarsfield, 34, sported a velour suit jacket and bow tie.

The couple, who have been together for eight years, have previously faced rumors of a split. In December, speculation arose following a significant argument. Dawson addressed these rumors at the time, shortly after discovering messages suggesting Sarsfield had been "sexting" another woman.

Dawson has spoken openly about the challenges in their relationship, attributing some strain to the demanding routines of their three children: Noah, five; Jude, three; and 18-month-old Gigi. She mentioned in an interview with Closer magazine that a lack of personal time, partly due to their youngest son's co-sleeping habits, has made it difficult for them to connect. Dawson expressed hope that their relationship would find renewed strength once Noah begins school.

The discovery of the intimate messages from Sarsfield reportedly left Dawson feeling "hurt and humiliated." She discussed the situation on her podcast, stating, "I've seen the messages... they're not nice, it really hurt." Despite this revelation, weeks later, Dawson announced she was pregnant with their third child. She later described their relationship journey as an "actual rollercoaster" but expressed feeling better and that Sarsfield was "trying."

Dawson has defended her decision to share personal struggles on her podcast, viewing it as her "safe space" for open and honest communication, particularly as public attention had been drawn to their relationship issues.

Sarsfield, a former rugby player for the Swinton Lions, and Dawson previously appeared on "Celebs Go Dating" four years ago to address relationship difficulties. Following that appearance, they separated but later reconciled. Sarsfield proposed to Dawson in September 2020, a few months before the birth of their first son, Noah. The engagement occurred in front of a statue of Dawson's late father, comedian Les Dawson.
