A recently unveiled statue of conservative activist Charlie Kirk outside Turning Point USA's (TPUSA) Phoenix headquarters has been vandalized. The 8-foot statue, along with a nearby poster memorial, was defaced with red paint overnight Sunday, according to AZ Family.
The statue was installed on Thursday to commemorate the one-year anniversary of Kirk's death. The 31-year-old TPUSA co-founder was fatally shot at an open-mic event at Utah Valley University.
Photos show the red paint smeared across the statue, which depicts Kirk wearing a "freedom shirt." A frowning face was also painted on the statue's chest. It remains unclear if any suspects have been identified in connection with the vandalism. TPUSA has not yet responded to a request for comment.
