Charles Barkley Criticizes Aaron Rodgers Over Public Comments About Ex-Partners
The NBA legend expressed disapproval of the quarterback's recent remarks regarding his former romantic relationships.
Charles Barkley, in a recent appearance on Mad Dog Sports Radio, voiced his criticism of NFL quarterback Aaron Rodgers for publicly discussing his past relationships. Barkley stated he would not follow Rodgers' example of "burn[ing] every bridge and talk[ing] bad about all my exes on my way out the door."
Rodgers, who is nearing the end of his NFL career, made several comments about his ex-fiancée Shailene Woodley and ex-girlfriend Danica Patrick in September on his teammate Cam Heyward's "Not Just Football" podcast. Rodgers alleged that Woodley told him she needed to "go f--k this guy" before their potential marriage and that she claimed he ruined her life. He also stated that their relationship was not one that could be broken off in 2022, as she had indicated he gave her depression.
During the same podcast appearance, Rodgers also directed criticism towards former Green Bay Packers teammates Greg Jennings and Jermichael Finley. Rodgers had played with both players earlier in his career and won a Super Bowl with them.
Barkley, known for his candid commentary, is also nearing the end of his own media career. The former NBA star has frequently discussed his impending retirement from "Inside the NBA," the TNT Sports program where he has served as an analyst. Barkley has openly expressed dissatisfaction with TNT Sports executives following the network's loss of NBA media rights, which will move the show to ESPN after the current season. He has consistently stated that his current season will be his last on the broadcast.
