Charlene McKenna Welcomes Second Child

Actress Charlene McKenna, 42, has announced the birth of her second child, a baby girl. The "Peaky Blinders" star and her husband, Adam Rothenberg, kept the pregnancy private.

McKenna shared the news on Instagram, posting a series of photos documenting her pregnancy and the initial weeks with their expanded family. In her caption, she hinted at her daughter's name, writing, "It’s been a minute…. Been making movies and memories and Maggie’s."

The couple welcomed their first child, daughter Martha Josephine, in March 2024. McKenna is known for her role as Laura McKee in the fifth and sixth seasons of "Peaky Blinders."

Her husband, Adam Rothenberg, is recognized for his role as Captain Homer Jackson in "Ripper Street." He also appeared in the BBC One drama as Rose Erskine. McKenna's other acting credits include the BBC police dramas "Bloodlands" and "Vienna Blood."

McKenna and Rothenberg married in 2021. Previously, McKenna spoke about her anxieties regarding her acting career, telling The Sun that she lives with the "existential terror and dread" that work might cease. She added, "You feel nervous taking time off because you're like, 'Will that be it then?'"
