Fox Sports host Charissa Thompson said she is reconsidering her stance on major relationship milestones after attending the recent wedding of Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce. Thompson, who was a guest at the July 3 ceremony, described the event as "magical" and a profound reminder of finding a life partner.
During an installment of the "Calm Down" podcast, which she co-hosts with Erin Andrews, Thompson, 44, shared that the star-studded event made her realize the significance of having someone to share life's experiences with. "It was a reminder to all of us — and maybe there is some subliminal part of seeing them get married that makes me want to have a version adjacent to marriage in the commitment ceremony — because watching them get married, I’m like, when you find your person, everything else in the world is right," she stated.
Thompson has been open on her podcast about her past marriages, having gone through a public divorce from sports agent Kyle Thousand in 2022 after two years of marriage, and reportedly a previous divorce in her 20s. She has previously discussed the possibility of a commitment ceremony or engagement party with her current boyfriend, Steve Cundari, who was set up with her by Rams quarterback Matthew Stafford and his wife, Kelly Stafford.
Thompson and Andrews, who attended the wedding together, were reportedly tight-lipped about the event itself, emphasizing a desire to protect the couple's privacy. Andrews, married to former hockey player Jarret Stoll, also alluded to a positive experience at the wedding but noted the presence of "weirdos" attempting to spread rumors. "I was a little worried about my Sancerre intake and that I was going to fire back on the old replies. I didn’t, but people are weird, people are gross. I had a great time," Andrews said.
Swift and Kelce have not yet released official photos from their wedding.
