Charisma Carpenter, known for her role as Cordelia Chase in "Buffy the Vampire Slayer" and its spin-off "Angel," recently shared photos of herself enjoying the summer season. The 56-year-old actress posted a series of images on Instagram, including some featuring her in a red bikini.
In the July 16 posts, Carpenter expressed gratitude for her summer experiences, which included dancing, live music, clubbing, travel, boating, paddle-boarding, and watching the World Cup. She captioned one of the posts, "So grateful for the friends in my life who helped me celebrate all this week the joy of dancing til you’re dripping wet with sweat, live music, clubbing, travel, boating, paddle-boarding, World Cup watching, eating well and embracing tan lines." She set the social media update to Madonna’s song "Good for the Soul."
Carpenter paired her red bathing suit with an orange headscarf and aviator sunglasses in the photos. Her Instagram followers reacted positively to the images, with some commenting on her appearance.
This is not the first time Carpenter has shared photos in the same swimsuit. She posted pictures in the red bathing suit, accessorized with a straw hat, during beach outings in May. At the time, she captioned one set of photos, "Could get used to this 🪴 🌳 🌊 🏖️ ☀️," and another, "Love is in the sea air."
Carpenter played Cordelia Chase for three seasons on "Buffy the Vampire Slayer" before continuing the role for four seasons on "Angel." She reprised her role for the 100th episode of "Buffy" during its fifth and final season.
In recent news concerning the "Buffy" cast, Nicholas Brendon and Anthony Head passed away earlier this year. Brendon, who played Xander Harris, died in January at age 54. Head, who portrayed Rupert Giles, died of pneumonia last month at age 72.
