The Los Angeles Chargers have started the NFL season with an 0-2 record, marking a historically poor performance not seen in 100 years. Following their 26-14 home loss to the Las Vegas Raiders on Sunday, the Chargers have become the second team in NFL history to lose consecutive home games by double digits to opponents who had a sub-.200 win percentage the previous season.

The first team to achieve this ignominious distinction was the 1926 Racine Tornadoes, who played only one more game before folding. The Raiders and the Arizona Cardinals, the Chargers' opponents in the first two weeks, both finished the previous season with a 3-14 record. Los Angeles was considered the favorite in both matchups.

The Chargers' current situation raises concerns about potential organizational changes if the team does not quickly improve its performance. Their next game is a road matchup against the Buffalo Bills, featuring one of the league's top offenses.
