The Los Angeles Chargers are confronting a stark reality as the NFL trade deadline looms, with reports indicating that veteran linebacker Khalil Mack has drawn interest from other teams. As the Chargers navigate a winless season heading into Week 8, the front office has reportedly rebuffed initial trade inquiries.

NFL insider Ian Rapoport noted on "The Rich Eisen Show" that Mack is a player who could be dealt before the Nov. 10 deadline. "Khalil Mack is one," Rapoport said. "The Chargers haven’t signaled a willingness to sell like the Colts have, yet. I’ll be curious if they do. I don’t think they want to, but at some point, it’s like you gotta make some decisions here."

Rapoport specifically mentioned the Chicago Bears as a team interested in Mack, suggesting a potential reunion. "I know the Bears are interested in Khalil Mack; that one makes sense to me. He’s still playing at a high level. That would be a cool reunion kind of like DeForest Buckner."

Mack himself has previously addressed the trade rumors following the Chargers' fifth consecutive loss of the season. "I’m focused on this team and what I’m doing right now," Mack stated. "I feel like the outside noise is the outside noise."

Despite Mack's public stance of commitment, the Chargers have yet to secure a victory this season. The team's ongoing struggles may prompt the organization to consider significant roster moves, potentially starting with a high-profile trade, as they search for a path to their first win.
