Red Sox closer Aroldis Chapman has retracted his previous demand for the New York Yankees to issue an apology.

Chapman, who felt the Yankees made him appear as the "bad guy" for missing a workout and subsequently being left off their playoff roster in 2022, had initially stated that an apology from the organization was necessary if any trade involving him were to occur.

"I turned the page a long time ago. They asked me a question and I answered," Chapman told the New York Post at the All-Star Game. He added that he believes someone from the organization should apologize first if something like that were to happen.

Chapman's stance has now shifted, indicating he has moved on from the situation and no longer requires an apology from his former team.
