Chaos on 'The Wild Frontier' as Ex-Crew Member Blocks Show Trial Over Pay Dispute

Filming for "I'm A Celebrity's" spin-off series, "The Wild Frontier," was reportedly thrown into disarray when a former crew member obstructed a show trial in protest over an unpaid wage dispute. The incident occurred off the coast of Canada, where the production is currently underway.

According to reports, the disgruntled ex-employee anchored his boat beneath cranes that were set to lower celebrities into the Pacific Ocean for a trial. Production staff were compelled to negotiate a settlement with the individual to allow filming to resume. A source told The Sun that the situation was "very embarrassing" for production bosses, who were aware the former employee was on public property. The dispute was reportedly resolved, preventing significant delays to the filming schedule.

ITV, the broadcaster of "I'm A Celebrity," has been contacted for comment.

The "Ant and Dec" hosted show is being filmed in British Columbia and features pairs of celebrities undertaking wilderness trials. Among the challenges mentioned are a high-altitude abseil called "Dreaded Drop" and an endurance test known as "Bear Watch," which involved overnight tasks.

The production has already faced another setback with the departure of Venezuela Fury, daughter of boxers Tyson and Paris Fury. Fury was forced to quit the show due to illness after just 72 hours. She had been participating alongside her husband, Noah Price. A source indicated that Fury became severely unwell, experiencing vomiting that worsened over time, leading to her decision to withdraw. The production team and fellow campmates were reportedly supportive of her decision.

After leaving the set, Fury was examined by ITV medical staff and returned to a hotel with her husband. Other celebrity pairs participating in "The Wild Frontier" include married couple Rio and Kate Ferdinand, siblings Louise Redknapp and Joe Nurding, "Dancing On Ice" judges Christopher Dean and Karen Barber, boyband members Brian McFadden and Keith Duffy, and social media personalities Paul Olima and Jeremy Lynch.

Love Island winner Toni Laites and her friend Marielle are rumored to be replacing Venezuela Fury and Noah Price in the competition.
