Television presenter Livinia Nixon and her husband Alistair Jack have sold their sprawling Melbourne family home in Brighton for $9.1 million. The sale, which occurred in June, marks the end of the couple's 13-year ownership of the property.
Nixon, 51, purchased the home in 2013 for $4.6 million, resulting in a profit of $4.5 million. The property is situated on a 1,630-square-meter corner block and features a residence described as a landmark home with enduring elegance.
During their tenure, the home was renovated and extended to include spacious living areas and facilitate indoor-outdoor entertaining. The residence comprises four bedrooms, three bathrooms, a home office, a separate rumpus and study area for children, and a dedicated movie and games room. The kitchen boasts a six-meter island and a butler's pantry, with floor-to-ceiling windows offering views of the landscaped gardens.
Outdoor amenities include a solar-heated swimming pool, a gas-heated spa, a sauna, a poolside gym, and a barbecue area. The property's gardens are noted for featuring a century-old pin oak tree.
The home was on the market for four months before its sale. Prior to this Brighton residence, Nixon sold a Middle Park terrace in 2015 for $2.35 million, having bought it for $1.853 million a decade earlier.
Nixon is a familiar face on Australian television, known for her long tenure as Nine News Melbourne's chief weather presenter. She stepped away from that role in late 2025 to concentrate on her hosting duties for "Getaway" and "Postcards." Her television career began at age four, appearing in an advertisement for Granny Davis bread.
