Chad Lowe Mourns Death of 13-Year-Old Daughter Fiona
The actor and his wife, Kim Painter, remembered their daughter as the 'light of our lives' and urged mental health awareness.
Actor Chad Lowe and his wife, producer Kim Painter, are mourning the death of their 13-year-old daughter, Fiona. The family released a statement remembering the teen as a "smart, creative" girl who loved to dance and was the "light of our lives."
"We are deeply heartbroken by the loss of our beloved Fiona," the family stated. "She was a loving young girl who was smart, creative and loved to dance. She was adored by her sisters and she was deeply loved by her parents. In fact, she was the light of our lives."
Fiona celebrated her 13th birthday in November 2025. Her father marked the occasion with an Instagram post, writing, "Keep dancing through life FiBear! Love you soooo much!!"
In February 2025, Lowe shared photos of Fiona and her sisters returning to their home after it was destroyed in a fire, noting their resilience. "The way they’ve handled this whole devastating experience is nothing short of remarkable," he wrote. "I am in awe of their spirit and resilience."
Lowe, 58, and Painter also have two other daughters, Mabel, 17, and Nixie, 10. Fiona is also survived by her sisters.

Chad Lowe is the younger brother of actor Rob Lowe.
