Chad Lowe and Kim Painter Mourn Daughter Fiona's Death at 13

Actor Chad Lowe and his wife, Kim Painter, are mourning the loss of their 13-year-old daughter, Fiona, who died in September 2026. The couple confirmed the devastating news in a statement, describing their middle child as "smart, creative and loved to dance."

"She was adored by her sisters and she was deeply loved by her parents. In fact, she was the light of our lives. Her passing is devastating for our entire family and we ask for prayers and privacy at this time," Lowe and Painter stated.

Fiona was born in February 2012. Her middle name, Hepler, honors Chad Lowe's late mother. In a social media post for Fiona's 13th birthday in February 2026, Lowe wrote, "Celebrating Fiona officially becoming a teen today!! Keep dancing through life FiBear! Love you soooo much!!"

Lowe and Painter, who married in August 2010, are also parents to daughters Mabel and Nixie. Mabel was born in May 2009 and served as the ring bearer at her parents' wedding. Nixie was born in March 2016; her middle name also honors Chad Lowe's late mother.

Chad Lowe, younger brother of actor Rob Lowe, previously shared glimpses of his family life on social media. In May 2026, he celebrated Painter on Instagram, calling her the "best mom ever" and a "partner on this crazy journey called parenthood."
