Guests bound for the wedding of NFL star Travis Kelce and pop superstar Taylor Swift are experiencing significant travel disruptions. Among those affected are San Francisco 49ers tight end George Kittle and his wife, Claire Kittle, who reported being stranded at Nashville International Airport for an extended period.
Claire Kittle shared on Instagram that their flight, originally scheduled to depart at 5:30 p.m., had not taken off by 8 a.m. the following day. She posted images of herself and her husband, George, waiting in their car at the airport, indicating a prolonged delay. George Kittle, who confirmed last week that he received an invitation to the wedding, expressed uncertainty about the ceremony's location, joking that Kelce laughed when he asked.
"I’m half expecting there to just be a jumbo jet on a runway and they put us on a plane somewhere," Kittle told Entertainment Tonight. He anticipates the wedding will be "amazing" but has no specific expectations.
Kittle also revealed that the couple has requested guests bring "absolutely no gifts." He praised Swift and Kelce for their attendance at events like the "Tight Ends & Friends" concert, which occurred just days before their wedding. "She’s just such an awesome person to give us her time this close to their wedding," Kittle said of Swift. "She’s just so kind and it’s awesome to have her around."
Kittle, who co-created Tight End University with Kelce and Greg Olsen, is among several high-profile attendees expected. His teammate Kyle Juszczyk and his wife Kristin Juszczyk are also reportedly invited. The New York Knicks' starting lineup has also been extended invitations.
Reports suggest that over 1,000 guests are expected at the wedding ceremony, which is slated to take place at Madison Square Garden. A more intimate rehearsal dinner for approximately 100 people is scheduled for the same venue the evening prior.
