Celebrity Traitors Viewers Point Out Hannah Fry's Potential Slip-Up
Audience members on X suspect mathematician Hannah Fry may have inadvertently revealed her allegiance in the latest episode of 'The Celebrity Traitors'.
Viewers of 'The Celebrity Traitors' have pointed out a potential slip-up by mathematician Hannah Fry during a recent roundtable discussion that could indicate her status as a Traitor. Fry, who was recruited by fellow Traitors Maya Jama and James Acaster this week, managed to avoid banishment, but her defense has drawn scrutiny from the show's audience.
During the tense discussion, Fry argued that "clever" individuals are often wrongly banished by the Faithful. However, she referred to the non-Traitors as "the Faithfuls" rather than using inclusive language such as "we" or "us" Faithfuls. This phrasing led viewers on social media platform X to accuse her of "othering herself from the Faithfuls" and "digging her own grave."
One viewer commented, "Why did no one pick up on Hannah saying '& then the faithfuls kill them'? They banish, not kill, & in other series someone - civilian or celebrity - would have picked up on that." Another posted, "So no one picked up on Hannah repeatedly referring to the faithfuls as a different group to her?!"
Actress Julie Hesmondhalgh was ultimately banished from the game, only to reveal to the group that she was a Faithful. Comedian and actress Miranda Hart, 53, has been vocal in her suspicion of Fry throughout the season, sharing her theories with other contestants.

Hesmondhalgh, 56, found herself in the firing line alongside Fry, but received the majority of the votes. Following her banishment, she stated, "It has been immense, even chuffed to bits standing here because it is iconic. Alas, it may mean that I am not a phenomenal actor. I am indeed a Faithful."
The group had previously banished Traitor Richard E. Grant in the first week. Thursday's episode also saw the banishment of actor Bella Ramsey, 23, who was revealed to have been murdered by the Traitors.

Hesmondhalgh expressed her enjoyment of the experience, stating, "It's been the experience of a lifetime, so joyful. I've laughed till I've cried, most hours of the day. I'll really miss being part of it." She also recalled the feeling of successfully identifying Richard E. Grant in the first roundtable as "incredible."
