Celebrity Traitors Viewers Criticize 'Worst Ever' Faithfuls After Mission Vote

Viewers of Celebrity Traitors have voiced strong criticism, labeling the current group of Faithfuls as 'the worst of all time' after a recent mission resulted in the three actual Traitors being identified as the most trustworthy contestants. This decision has led viewers to believe the Faithfuls have little chance of winning the show's jackpot.

During Friday's episode, the contestants were faced with a challenge in a 'field of screams' where scarecrows bearing their names were positioned alongside pitchforks. In pairs, one celebrity collected bags of gold worth £500, while the other attached them to the pitchforks to secure the money. Attaching three bags to a single pitchfork caused its corresponding scarecrow to blow up, eliminating that celebrity from a chance to win a secret power.

In what has been described as a 'spectacular own goal,' the group ultimately voted for Maya Jama, James Acaster, and King Kenny as the individuals they trusted the most. This granted them a special power within the game.

King Kenny was subsequently awarded a dagger that carries a double vote. The mission also saw the contestants add £13,500 to the charity prize fund, bringing the total to £59,500.

Online reactions on X, formerly Twitter, highlighted viewer frustration. Comments included sentiments like, 'As if they've picked the three actual Traitors to have the possibility of winning the special power. The worse set of Faithfuls of all time,' and 'No way the three they chose were the three Traitors.' Many echoed the sentiment that the Faithfuls were performing poorly in the game.

The episode concluded on a cliffhanger, with the group divided between Sharon Rooney and another contestant, leaving Kenny's double vote poised to determine who would be banished next. Earlier in the episode, Miranda Hart was eliminated by the Traitors, who reportedly feared she was getting too close to uncovering their identities.
