Celebrity Traitors Recap: Miranda Hart's Iconic Gallop and Hannah Fry's Banishment

In the latest episode of Celebrity Traitors, Miranda Hart delighted viewers by recreating the iconic gallop of her beloved BBC sitcom character. The joyous moment occurred after the celebrities successfully banished Hannah Fry, a Traitor, from the game.

Hart, 53, channeled her famously clumsy and socially awkward persona as she trotted through the Scottish castle alongside fellow contestants Sebastian Croft and King Kenny. "I'm on such a high. Oh my God, let's do a gallop. We got rid of a Traitor!" Hart exclaimed. Kenny expressed enthusiasm for joining the celebratory run, stating, "Wait, wait I want to get involved!"

Despite initial discussions at the roundtable that focused on James Blunt and Ross Kemp, the group ultimately voted to banish Hannah Fry in a decisive vote.

Fry, upon her banishment, reflected on her experience. "This has been so much fun," she said. "I think the thing is I came in here with absolutely one job and one job only on my mind and that was to catch Traitors and I calculated every conceivable scenario except for the one that actually unfolded. I am a Traitor!"

Host Claudia Winkleman noted the game's progression, informing the remaining contestants, "A little statistic for you, in honour of Professor Fry. You have banished two Faithful and two Traitors. Well done, this game is hotting up."

Elsewhere in the episode, comedian Rob Beckett was the latest Faithful to be eliminated, falling victim to the Traitors' plot. His murder was revealed face-to-face, leaving contestants Ross Kemp, Leigh-Anne Pinnock, and Romesh Ranganathan safe for another night. Beckett discovered his fate while hiding in the crypt.

Upon hearing of his murder from James Acaster, Beckett responded with laughter. "Thank you very much James Acaster," he said, before adding, "Liberty innit. It's over. I'm a dead man. In a way this is good news for the Faithfuls because I was nowhere near getting Maya and James. No chance. It has been amazing and I will cherish my memories. However if I know one thing my boy Romesh will avenge my death and he will get them."

During breakfast the next morning, Ranganathan commented on Beckett's departure, stating, "It's sad but you've got to look at the positive of these things, Rob's not here." He added, "I feel like I let Rob Beckett down because he is so unthreatening he was never going to get banished so he is the guy we should have given the key to and he is also one of my best friends. I'm sad, it's not going to be the same without him."

Winkleman quipped about Beckett's exit, "You could say Beckett has kicked the bucket," noting the joke took her 45 minutes to devise.

Following Fry's banishment and Beckett's murder, the Traitors, Maya Jama and James Acaster, decided to recruit King Kenny. Kenny, initially speechless, expressed his surprise at being approached by the Traitors after successfully identifying one. He voiced concerns about potential betrayal, admitting, "I do worry that they could switch on me at any time and I feel like I'm going to absolutely crumble if I see that happening."

As Jama and Acaster revealed their identities, Kenny was visibly stunned. Jama apologized for the deception, referring to Acaster as a "Faithful Traitor," while Kenny urged them, "Don't do me dirty."
