Celebrity Traitors Cast Shares Behind-the-Scenes Packing Preparations

As "Celebrity Traitors" prepares for its return, cast members offered a glimpse into their preparations with behind-the-scenes videos of their packing process. The show, filmed earlier this year, features a new group of celebrities heading to a castle to compete.

Singer James Blunt, 52, showcased a varied wardrobe, including flamboyant swimming trunks, several suits, and a luxury dressing gown. He also packed his old British Army uniform, donning it before placing it in his suitcase. Blunt, a former British Army officer, gained global fame with his debut album and the hit single "You're Beautiful."

In contrast, actress Julie Hesmondhalgh, 56, known for her role in "Coronation Street," expressed feeling overwhelmed by the packing task. She cited the need for diverse outfits for various activities, including exercise, dinner parties, and even funerals. Hesmondhalgh also packed essentials for downtime, such as books and art supplies, along with HRT patches.

Actor Michael Sheen, 57, adopted a dramatic persona for his packing video, wearing a hooded cloak and declaring, "The time has come. The bags are packed. The castle calls." Sheen is currently a favorite among bookmakers to win the competition, with odds of 7/2. Other notable contenders include actor Richard E. Grant at 9/2 and "The Last of Us" star Bella Ramsey at 5/1.

Singer James Blunt and comedian Miranda Hart are tied for fourth place with odds of 11/2. Last year's "Celebrity Traitors" launch episode drew over six million viewers, and anticipation for the new season is high. Various venues across Britain are planning viewing events, with some encouraging attendees to dress as the show's host, Claudia Winkleman.

The BBC has been building excitement with promotional efforts, including a large mural of Winkleman and the new cast in Manchester's Northern Quarter. The show's theme tune was also performed by a choir in a dramatic promotional stunt.

The full lineup for the upcoming season includes Maya Jama, Miranda Hart, James Blunt, Ross Kemp, Michael Sheen, Rob Beckett, Sharon Rooney, Joanne McNally, Amol Rajan, King Kenny, Sebastian Croft, Jerry Hall, Richard E. Grant, James Acaster, Bella Ramsey, Leigh-Anne Pinnock, Joe Lycett, Hannah Fry, Julie Hesmondhalgh, and Myha'la. The series is set to premiere on Thursday at 8 p.m.
