The traditional image of a bachelor pad – a sparsely furnished space with minimal amenities – is being redefined by celebrities who are investing millions in lavish properties after their divorces. These new-generation solo dwellings are equipped with luxury features, from swimming pools and wine cellars to horse stables.
Ben Affleck, following his second divorce from Jennifer Lopez in 2024, reportedly purchased a $20.5 million home in Los Angeles. The 6,200-square-foot property, originally designed by architect Cliff May in the 1940s, sits on nearly an acre between Brentwood and Pacific Palisades. The estate features vaulted wood-beam ceilings, steel-framed windows, a split-level living area, a detached two-level guest house, a horse stable, a cabana with a fireplace, and a swimming pool. Affleck took out a $10 million loan for the purchase, which he reportedly made on his ex-wife's birthday.

Kevin Costner, 71, provided a glimpse of his $145 million beachfront compound in Santa Barbara, California, last year. The 'Yellowstone' star shared footage from the lavish home, which features ocean views from the living room, floor-to-ceiling windows, and ocean-themed artwork. Costner purchased the compound for $60 million in 2017 during his marriage to Christine Baumgartner. Their divorce was finalized in February 2024, with Baumgartner ordered to vacate the compound by July 2023 and subsequently moving into a rental property.

While Kay and his ex-wife Tess Daly announced their separation in May, they have remained friends.
Actor Hugh Jackman, 57, has reportedly moved into a stylish city apartment following his divorce from Deborra-Lee Furness, finalized in 2025. Glimpses of his new residence showed minimalist decor, white-grey wooden floors, and a marble kitchen counter.

Musician Noel Gallagher moved into a flat in Maida Vale, west London, after splitting with his wife in 2023. While his bachelor pad was being refurbished, he reportedly stayed in a £2,500-a-night suite at Claridge's hotel in Mayfair.
Ex-NFL player Tom Brady converted a mansion he co-owned with ex-Gisele Bündchen on Miami's Creek Island into a bachelor pad, estimated to cost around $11.5 million. The couple, who divorced in October 2022, bought the land in 2020 for $17 million.
