CCTV Footage Shows Suspect Driving Van With Victims Allegedly Concealed
Newly released surveillance video captures Beau Lamarre-Condon entering a hardware store's parking lot with a rental van, where prosecutors allege the bodies of Jesse Baird and Luke Davies were hidden.
New CCTV footage has been released in the murder trial of Beau Lamarre-Condon, allegedly showing him driving a white Toyota HiAce rental van into a Bunnings carpark in Goulburn while the bodies of Jesse Baird and Luke Davies were concealed in the back.
Lamarre-Condon, 31, has pleaded not guilty to the murders of his ex-partner Mr. Baird and Mr. Baird's new boyfriend, Mr. Davies, which occurred on February 19, 2024.
The court heard that Lamarre-Condon drove into the carpark with a female friend, identified in court as Elizabeth Kennedy for legal reasons. Ms. Kennedy testified that she was unaware of the bodies being in the van.
The released footage shows the pair parking the van before entering the store. Ms. Kennedy stated that Lamarre-Condon asked her to pay for an angle grinder they purchased.
Earlier in the NSW Supreme Court trial, jurors were shown other CCTV footage of Lamarre-Condon, including instances where he was allegedly in disguise and making purchases the day after the killings.
On the evening of February 20, Lamarre-Condon is alleged to have picked up a friend and gone to a Sushi Train restaurant in Cronulla. The Crown alleges this friend is the same individual seen on CCTV purchasing a surfboard bag with Lamarre-Condon three days prior.
While driving this friend home, Lamarre-Condon's Tesla reportedly stopped at Club Cronulla. CCTV from the bowling club captured a man, alleged to be the friend, exiting the passenger side of the car and inspecting a skip bin in the parking lot.
Later that night, the same club's CCTV recorded a white van entering the car park. A figure was seen lifting the bin lids and dumping items into it.
The following day, a groundskeeper discovered the bloodied belongings of Mr. Baird and Mr. Davies in the skip bin.
The trial is scheduled to resume on Friday.
