The Wylder Hotel in Windham, New York, is offering guests a novel take on a nostalgic treat: s'mores made with chocolate infused with functional mushrooms. This new amenity, part of the "Wyld Fireside" package, replaces traditional chocolate bars with specially formulated confections from Alice Mushrooms.

These chocolates contain nootropic and adaptogenic mushrooms such as lion's mane, reishi, and cordyceps. According to the hotel, these ingredients are intended to relieve stress and potentially boost arousal, but they do not contain psilocybin. The hotel aims to provide a familiar, yet enhanced, experience for its guests.

"Guests are looking for the kinds of experiences they remember growing up with, whether that’s spending more time outdoors, unplugging for a weekend or making s’mores at the end of the day," John Flannigan, founder and CEO of Wylder Hotels, told The Post. "We loved the idea of taking something so familiar and partnering with Alice to give it a fresh take. It keeps everything people love about the tradition but adds a little surprise."

The "Wyld Fireside" package is available as a $35 add-on and includes roasting sticks, graham crackers, marshmallows, and two single-serve bars of Alice Mushrooms' chocolate. Guests can prepare these s'mores over the fire pits located throughout the hotel's 20-acre property.

The Wylder Hotel is situated in Windham, a ski town approximately two hours from New York City. The resort features seven types of lodging and offers various activities, including electric biking, pickleball, swimming in a heated saltwater pool, tubing, and using a wood-fired sauna. The mushroom s'mores are presented as a way to help guests unwind.

Guests who opt for the mushroom chocolate s'mores also receive an in-room snack box with more conventional treats like Pirate's Booty and Tate's cookies. Room rates at the Wylder Hotel start at $340 per night.
