Catherine Zeta-Jones Stars in New AMC+ Crime Thriller 'Kill Jackie'

Catherine Zeta-Jones headlines the new eight-episode AMC+ crime thriller "Kill Jackie," a gender-switched rendition of the 2018 novel "The Price You Pay" by Nick Harkaway.

The series centers on Jackie Price, portrayed by Zeta-Jones, an international art dealer who, despite the lucrativeness of her current profession, misses the excitement of her past as a cocaine dealer. When assassins begin targeting her two decades after she left that life behind, Jackie sees an opportunity for renewed thrill.

Jackie, along with her assistant Charlie (Hattie Hook) and an out-of-place lawyer named Sam (Daniel Ings), must navigate the attempts on her life and uncover the reasons behind the renewed threat. The narrative leans into a heightened reality, with elements of outlandish violence and a premise where many characters in Jackie's orbit might be untrustworthy.

Daniel Ings has been highlighted for his performance, bringing a manic energy that complements the series' tone. "Kill Jackie" is noted for its comic-book-like sensibility, embracing outlandish scenarios and violence without strict adherence to realism.

The series is available on AMC+.
