Cat Deeley Happy for Ex-Husband Patrick Kielty's New Romance
Deeley reportedly told friends that Kielty is a 'better person when he is happy' as he moves on with businesswoman Michelle McManus.

Cat Deeley is reportedly "happy" for her ex-husband, television presenter Patrick Kielty, following his new romance with businesswoman Michelle McManus. Friends of Deeley have shared that Kielty, 55, appears to be a "better person when he is happy," a sentiment Deeley herself has echoed.
According to The Sun, Deeley told friends, "She seems nice, and she is doing me a favour, he’s a better person when he’s happy." Her friends added that Deeley's attitude is, "Good luck to them. At the end of the day, that’s the whole point of separating in the first place." They stated that Deeley is "genuinely happy for him, and knows it’s good for them that he’s happy and positive," noting that Deeley herself is "in a great place and that’s where she wants to stay."
Kielty, 49, and McManus, 47, were recently photographed on a "cosy" pub date, over a year after Kielty announced his separation from Deeley. The couple, who share sons Milo, 10, and James, eight, were seen enjoying a three-hour dinner date. An insider told The Sun that Kielty and McManus met over the summer after being introduced by a friend. McManus is described as a successful businesswoman who established the fashion merchandising company Rolling People in 2011.
McManus separated from her husband four years ago, while Kielty confirmed his separation from Deeley in a joint statement in July 2025. The statement indicated that "no other party" was involved in the breakdown of their marriage and that they would "continue to be united as loving parents to our children."
Kielty and Deeley first met in 2002 when they co-hosted the BBC talent series Fame Academy. Their friendship evolved into a romance, and they went public in May 2012 before marrying in Rome in September of the same year. After living in Los Angeles for 15 years, the couple relocated back to the UK in 2020. Deeley subsequently took over from Holly Willoughby on ITV's This Morning.
Deeley has also reportedly been linked to film industry executive Charlie Coleman, with whom she was seen at a concert in London in July. Sources indicated that Deeley was open to dating but not interested in using dating apps. She recently shared that she and Kielty co-parent their sons on a "50-50" basis, enlisting the help of a nanny to manage their schedules.
