Cat Deeley Begins New Renovation Project Amidst Personal Life Changes

Cat Deeley has shared that she is currently involved in a "massive renovation" of a new house. This project comes after the extensive rebuild of a £5 million home she previously shared with her ex-husband, Patrick Kielty, reportedly placed strain on their marriage.

Deeley, who co-hosts "This Morning," stated in an interview with Closer magazine that her brother is assisting her with the current renovation. She described the undertaking as a "massive project" and expressed a personal philosophy of embracing challenges that evoke a degree of fear or trepidation, suggesting such endeavors are often worthwhile.

The television presenter did not disclose the location of her new house. She has two sons with Kielty: Milo, aged ten, and James, aged eight.

In 2022, Deeley and Kielty purchased a derelict 1950s property in Hampstead, north London, for approximately £4.9 million with plans to make it their "forever home." However, the ambitious renovation project, documented by Deeley on social media, highlighted the stresses associated with such endeavors. In February 2024, she admitted to being "shocked" by the scale of the work.

Sources had previously indicated to the Daily Mail that the renovation plans added "additional stress" to the couple's marriage. The project involved stripping back the 1950s property, with plans for a grand entrance hall, demolition of a living room mezzanine, and extensions to bedrooms and a terrace. Following their split, the extensive renovation was halted, deemed too large an undertaking for either individual to manage alone.

The Hampstead property is now on the market with Savills for £5 million, following a price reduction of £250,000 over the summer. A source close to the couple indicated that the decision to halt the work was made with a "heavy heart," acknowledging the significant time and vision invested in the project and the hope that their sons would grow up there.
