Case Keenum's Daughter Steals Show After Bears Victory
Five-year-old Cadence joins her father for a heartwarming post-game interview following the Bears' win over the Eagles.
Case Keenum's 5-year-old daughter, Cadence, captured attention following the Chicago Bears' 27-7 victory over the Philadelphia Eagles on Monday Night Football. During a post-game interview with ESPN's Scott Van Pelt, Cadence expressed her excitement to watch game film with her father, who had completed 24 of 34 passes for 247 yards and two touchdowns in the game.
Keenum, the Bears' third-string quarterback, was making his first NFL start in 1,009 days, filling in for the injured Caleb Williams. When asked by Van Pelt if she would prefer to watch game film or the children's show "Bluey," Cadence, clad in Bears gear and her father's number 11, emphatically chose "The game!" and cheered, "Let's go dada!"
Keenum spoke glowingly of his family, including his wife Kimberly and their two children, Cadence and 6-year-old Kyler, who were in attendance. He shared that their presence on the sidelines brought him peace. "God has built me for this, but man to have [my family] to be able to — they’re watching their dad play. That’s what it’s all about," Keenum said.
Following the game, Bears head coach Ben Johnson awarded Keenum the game ball in the locker room. Johnson commended Keenum's performance, stating, "It’s all about Case Keenum and what he was able to do here tonight. I thought he did an extraordinary job… He played really efficient football, and I couldn’t be more proud of him for that."
The Bears, now with a 2-1 record, are scheduled to host the New York Jets on Sunday.
