Carrot Top's Text Message to Manager Revealed Ahead of Suicide Attempt

Comedian Carrot Top, born Scott Thompson, sent a text message reading "done" to his manager shortly before his reported suicide attempt on September 18. The message was revealed in a police report obtained by Page Six.

According to the report, Thompson's manager spoke with the comedian on September 18 about an upcoming article detailing accusations of sexual misconduct. Following their call, Thompson sent the text message. His manager, unable to reach him afterward, contacted the police to perform a welfare check.

Officers arrived at Thompson's Las Vegas home at approximately 4:21 p.m. local time and found him unconscious by his pool. He was transported to a hospital in critical condition. TMZ reported that Thompson allegedly overdosed on prescription medication. He is currently hospitalized but is reportedly awake and breathing on his own, according to his representative.

Thompson's lawyer confirmed the suicide attempt in a court filing on Sunday, seeking protective relief to prevent the performer's former opening act, Brian Evans, from releasing a purported sex tape. The lawyer alleged that Evans was attempting to extort Thompson for $500,000, threatening to release the recording if the demand was not met.

Evans has denied these accusations, stating to Page Six that he never threatened to post any video in exchange for a settlement and that he deleted the video "a long time ago."

Thompson's Las Vegas shows at the Luxor Hotel and Casino have been canceled during his recovery period. The comedian had reportedly expressed concern for an unnamed woman and her daughter prior to the incident, stating he hoped they would be fine without him.
