Carrot Top 911 Caller Begged Comedian to 'Stay Awake' During Suicide Attempt

A 911 caller implored Carrot Top to "stay awake" as the comedian lay nearly unconscious by his Las Vegas pool, an incident reported to have occurred on September 18. The dispatcher was reportedly told, "Stay awake. Stay awake. Stay awake," as the caller described the comedian passing out and his feet dangling in the water.

The woman who made the call told dispatchers she was asked by Thompson's employee to check on him. She found the comedian, whose birth name is Scott Christopher Thompson, unconscious and reportedly turning blue, stating that he had attempted to "commit suicide." Emergency dispatchers provided instructions to lay Thompson on his back and monitor his breathing.

Reports suggest Thompson may have overdosed on prescription medication. His representative confirmed he remains hospitalized but is now awake, breathing independently, and improving. He is reportedly surrounded by family and close friends.

The incident came to light as Thompson's lawyer confirmed the suicide attempt in court documents filed in response to an ongoing legal dispute with his ex-opening act, Brian Evans. The lawyer sought protective relief to prevent Evans from releasing alleged "salacious materials" and accused him of attempting to extort Thompson for $500,000 over a purported sex tape.

Evans has denied these allegations, stating he never threatened to release any video for a settlement and claimed the video in question was deleted long ago.

Thompson's performance residency at the Luxor Hotel and Casino in Las Vegas has been canceled during his recovery period.
