Carrie Bickmore and Tommy Little's Radio Show Ends Amid Romance Rumors
The popular Hit Network hosts are parting ways after nearly a decade, fueling speculation about their personal relationship.
Carrie Bickmore and Tommy Little, who have hosted their popular Hit Network radio show for nearly a decade, announced their departure from the program on Wednesday. The decision comes amid years of persistent romance rumors between the co-hosts, who have consistently described themselves as "best mates."
Bickmore, 45, tearfully announced her exit during Wednesday's broadcast, stating, "I've loved every minute of doing the show. It's not every day you get to come and have a laugh and call it your job with your best mate and the funniest guy in the country, and that's what we've got to do for the last decade."
Little, 41, expressed his sadness at the show's conclusion, calling it "really sad" and "not how I wanted it to end." He added, "I love this job, and I would have kept doing it for a long time."
The show, "Carrie & Tommy," is one of Australia's most-listened-to drive-time programs and is expected to wrap up by the end of the year. Bickmore is reportedly set to move to rival station KIIS FM, where she would replace the "Will & Woody" drive-time show. Little's future remains unclear, with speculation about a potential bidding war between KIIS and the Hit Network.
The close bond between Bickmore and Little has been a subject of public fascination, fueled by their flirty on-air chemistry, suggestive social media exchanges, and numerous public appearances together. In recent years, their shared holidays, including a trip to Uluru in February 2025 and a Queensland getaway in September, have kept the rumor mill turning. They also attended events together, such as LIV Golf in Adelaide and a colleague's wedding in February this year.
Romance rumors began to intensify after Bickmore's public split from her longtime partner Chris Walker in 2023. Little was last publicly linked to environmental activist Natalie Kyriacou in 2021.
Despite the persistent speculation, the pair has often addressed the rumors with lighthearted jokes. Little once quipped about their age difference, while Bickmore has emphasized their strong working relationship and her single status.
Matthew O'Reilly, SCA's head of broadcast content, thanked the show's team for their dedication. "Carrie Bickmore and Tommy Little have built a loyal audience through their genuine friendship, big laughs and their own unique take on the ordinary," he wrote in an internal email. "Over the next few weeks, we look forward to celebrating everything Carrie and Tommy have given to their listeners over the last 10 years."
The "Carrie & Tommy" show has been a significant part of the Hit Network's programming, broadcast in major cities including Sydney, Melbourne, and Brisbane. The partnership has been a prominent fixture in radio since 2017, hosting the 3pm to 6pm time slot. Reports suggest that while Bickmore's exit from SCA was anticipated following a company merger, the station is content with her departure to KIIS FM, with "no love lost there."
