Carrie Bickmore and Tommy Little End Radio Show Amid KIIS FM Move Rumors

Carrie Bickmore and Tommy Little have announced the end of their long-running radio show on the Hit Network, with their final episodes expected by year's end.

The duo, who have hosted the drivetime program for nearly a decade, revealed the news on Wednesday during their afternoon show. Bickmore, tearfully addressing listeners, stated, "I've loved every minute of doing the show." Little described the ending as "really sad" and "not how I wanted it to end."

Rumors suggest Bickmore is moving to KIIS FM, where she would replace the current drivetime hosts, Will McMahon and Woody Whitelaw. This development comes after reports last week indicated Bickmore was considering an exit from Southern Cross Austereo (SCA), the parent company of the Hit Network, following its merger with Seven West Media.

Matthew O'Reilly, SCA's head of broadcast content, thanked the production team for their dedication and highlighted the hosts' ability to connect with their audience through their "genuine friendship, big laughs and their own unique take on the ordinary." He also noted various on-air segments and listener experiences that have defined their show over the past decade.

Carrie & Tommy has been broadcast in major cities including Sydney, Melbourne, and Brisbane. Bickmore and Little have maintained one of radio's most high-profile partnerships since taking over the 3pm to 6pm slot in 2017. Despite Bickmore's popularity with advertisers and listeners, SCA is reportedly content with her departure to KIIS.

Little's future remains less clear, with speculation about a potential bidding war between KIIS and the Hit Network. If he stays with SCA, sources suggest he might be paired with Loren Barry.

Bickmore, 45, and Little, 41, have long been the subject of public interest due to their on-air chemistry and off-air friendship, which has occasionally fueled romance rumors. However, they have consistently denied any romantic involvement, maintaining they are close friends. Bickmore previously split from her longtime partner Chris Walker in 2023.
